DIY Homemade Deodorant

Who loves aluminum? Not me!

Plus, it’s bad for your body! {Has been linked to breast cancer in women}

And who wants to spend lots of money each year on chemicals that can hurt your body? Not me!

What’s aluminum in? Deodorant! So I am going to show you how to make your own deodorant at home that will last you just as long as your regular deodorant for a fraction of the cost. And you should already have all this in your home {especially if you’ve been making all of my other DIY stuff!}.

Materials:

2-3 tbsp of coconut oil

1/8 cup baking soda

1/8 cup arrowroot powder or cornstarch

container

Procedure:

Mix dry ingredients together in container then slowly add coconut oil until you get a paste. You can either use as a paste or pop it in the refrigerator and it will get hard like your normal deodorant. Just take it out of the container and rub it on!

*Note:

Coconut oil has lots of antibacterial properties! Thats why it works so great for deodorant.

You can sub the coconut oil for shea butter or cocoa butter and add tea tree oil or another essential oil for the antibacterial property if you’re allergic to coconuts.

Great for men too!

You will not smell like coconuts all day, I promise!
